The search for our new Head Coach is over! Please welcome Lexie Upton as our new Head Coach! Lexie comes to our team as a seasoned swimmer having swam competitively for over 13 years. We are excited to see how she will help this program grow and flourish.
A message from Coach Lexie:
Hi everyone! I want to start by saying how excited I am to be the Head Coach for Jax
Swimming! It is a full-circle moment for me and feels very special. I started swimming when I was 9 years old with Union Swim Club (which later became JAX) here in Jackson and from then on, you couldn’t get me out of the water. I loved everything about the sport, especially as I got older. I graduated high school in 2016 and signed to swim at Campbellsville University in Kentucky. My events were 200 breaststroke, 200 IM & 400 IM and I swam all four years! I graduated from college in 2020 and then received my Master’s degree in 2022. I am currently working as a school counselor with West TN Healthcare in Crockett Co. My fiancé and I live here in Jackson with our two fur babies, Forrest & Tully. Swimming taught me so many skills, not only about swimming, but valuable life skills that made me who I am today. My goal for this team is to foster an environment where the swimmers can grow and improve not only as swimmers but also as individuals.
Coach Lexie will be on the pool deck 4 days out of the week until the start of summer. Once the summer schedule begins, she will be on deck for the majority of the practices. Feel free to head down to the pool deck (after practices are over) and welcome her!
