BRONZE I
Our entry level for swimmers who are just getting into the sport. Focused on stroke technique and foundations of swimming. Will not focus on the distance capabilities of the swimmer but learning each stroke well.
Suggested Age Guidelines: 5-9 years of age
Minimum Swimming Requirement: 2 x 25 yards freestyle (with side breathing), 25 yards backstroke, 25 yards freestyle kick, 25 yards backstroke kick.
Practice Expectations: At least 2 practices each week (this is encouraged but not required.)
Required Equipment: Fins, Kickboard, Pull Bouy. (These items of equipement are provided for the lower level swimmers.)
BRONZE II
A beginner level for swimmers who are ready to be pushed farther in their distance capabilities while still focusing on learning each stroke. This group will focus on the technique and skill of each swimmer while trying to build a strong foundation in swimming.
Suggested Age Guidelines: 7-10 years of age
Minimum Swimming Requirement: 2 x 50 yards freestyle (with side breathing), 50 yards backstroke, 25 yards breaststroke kick, 25 yards butterfly kick
Practice Expectations: At least 2 practices each week (this is encouraged but not required.)
Required Equipment: Fins, Kickboard, Pull Bouy. (These items of equipement are provided for the lower level swimmers.)

The mission of this group is to build fundamentally sound swimmers and equip swimmers with the knowledge to help them achieve their potential. The primary emphasis in this group is improving/perfecting technique in all four strokes with an introduction to aerobic conditioning.
Suggested Age Guidelines: 8-12 years of age
Minimum Swimming Requirement: Legal 50 yards of each stroke (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle); 8 x 50 Fr on 1:15; 3 x 100 IM on 2:30; demonstrate proper freestyle and backstroke flip-turns (with streamlines) and competition-style dive.
Practice Expectations: At least 3 practices each week (this is encouraged but not required.) At this level, swimmers must attend at least 2 practices a week to be eligible to compete in a swim meet.
Required Equipment: Fins, Kickboard, Pull Buoy, Equipment Bag. Swimmers at this level are encouraged to bring their own equipment but will still be provided if unable.

The mission of this group is to continue building fundamentally sound swimmers and equip them with the knowledge to help them achieve their potential. The primary emphasis in this group is improving/perfecting technique in all four strokes with continued aerobic conditioning and an introduction to anaerobic conditioning.
Suggested Age Guidelines: 10-14 years of age
Minimum Swimming Requirement: 8 X 100 free with flip turns and streamlines; 3 X 200 IM with legal strokes and turns.
Practice Expectations: Start with at least 3 practices each week and work up to at least 4 per week. At this level, swimmers must attend at least 2 practices a week to be eligible to compete in a swim meet.
Required Equipment: Fins, Snorkel, Kickboard, Pull Buoy, Paddles, Equipment Bag.

This group is the Age Group-to-Senior “bridge” group. The mission of this group is to build fundamentally sound swimmers and equip swimmers with the knowledge to help them achieve their potential. The primary emphasis in this group is to introduce swimmers to the Senior Group training regimen while still improving/perfecting technique in all four strokes and expanding on their introduction to aerobic and anaerobic conditioning.
Suggested Age Guidelines: 12-16 years of age
Minimum Swimming Requirement: 10 X 100 free on 2:00; 4 X 200 IM on 3:40
Practice Expectations: At least 5 practices each week. At this level, swimmers must attend at least 3 practices a week to be eligible to compete in a swim meet.

This is the highest performance training group. The mission of this group is to build fundamentally sound swimmers and equip swimmers with the knowledge to help them achieve their potential. The primary emphasis in this group is to improve/perfect technique in all four strokes while expanding their aerobic and anaerobic conditioning.
Suggested Age Guidelines: At least 13 years of age or 12 years who turn 13 before the next Southeastern Championship Meet
Minimum Swimming Requirement: 5 X 300 free on 4:15; 4 X 200 IM on 3:20
Practice Expectations: At least 4 practices each week. At this level, swimmers must attend at least 4 practices a week to be eligible to compete in a swim meet.
Required Equipment: Long Fins, Short Fins, Snorkel, Kickboard, Pull Buoy, Strokemaker Paddles, Equipment Bag. Swimmers at this level are expected to purchase their own equipment.

Advancement from one group to another is at the discretion of the coach, and will include additional factors such as age, maturity, practice attendance, meet participation, best times, work ethic and personal goals.
